The Paps

The Paps, formed in 2003, started their career by performing Bob Marley's songs to meet the needs of reggae community in Bandung.
In 2004, their first single "Life Is A Big Joke" was released on Bandung Miller Time Compilation, a compilation album contained local bands in various genres. The band was later asked to be involved in IRR (Indonesian Reggae Revolution) after the first single came out.
The second single "Hang Loose Baby" was released in 2005 on the first Indonesian Reggae Revolution album compilation (267records) on which contained Indonesian reggae bands.
The band started recording their first album in 2006, combined reggae with psychedelic dub and a touch of soul jazz.
The first album "Hang Loose Baby" (Zyape O Zyure Records) was officially released in 2007.
On more than half of a decade of their journey, The Paps, along with friends and JamaicanSound community in Bandung have actively done a lot of collective shows besides performing at school or non-school events, in or outside of town.
